Long Service Awards

The westbury Hotel was the venue for the ESB International Long Service Awards dinner on Friday, October 3rd for recipients of 25, 35 and 40 years service awards. A warm welcome was extended to all by Billy Byrne, ESBI's HR Manager.

Ollie Brogan, Manager ESBIe-fm, thanked all recipients for their contribution to ESB and ESBI over the years. He also gave a speech that included lots of interesting items from both the years the recipients were born and the years they joined the company. Ollie also presented the partners of the recipients with bouquets.

Those receiving the award for 25 years were Paul Kennedy, Gerry Lawler, Ray O'Gorman, Liam Walsh and Con Ryan. Conor McMahon and Bill Quilliam received awards for their 35 years of service while Bernard Burke and Cathal O'Luain received awards for 40 years.

Absent on the night were Marie Barry (25 years), Maeve O'Reilly (35 years) as well as Gerry Keely, Derek Darbey and Paul O'Brien (40 years).

5, 10 and 15 years of service
A week earlier, a reception was held at Stephen Court for staff with 5, 10 and 15 years service.

Receiving awards for five years of service were John Gibbons, John Matthew Whelan, Kate Kennedy, Michael Buggy, Phil Gavin, Rachel Duff, Laura Martinez, Mark Tolan, Niall Brennan, Emma Butler, Declan Mulhall, Paul Moran, Martin Geehan, Alan Carroll, John Kelly, Mark Scully, Abdus Jafri, Shay Hynes, Ciaran O'Brien, Craig Adamson, Pat Casey, Sean Farrell and Richard Walshe.

Mark Fielding, Joe Mooney, Greg Ewing, Richard Thorpe, Elaine Ryan, Graham Tobin, Richard German, Paul Murphy, Mark Byrne, Dominick Fitzsimons, Noelle Heavey, Trevor Sheridan, Alan Hoey, John Connolly, Deirdre Newell, Steven Bolton, Shance McLoughney, Monica Haechler and Jason Daly received awards for 10 years of valued service.

While receiving awards for 15 years of service were Adriaan Smuts, Mark Dunne, Will Mongey, John McKiernan, Frank Shiel, Zorica Skrba, Robert Donaghy, Neil Quinn, John Nixon, Fiona Kealy, Michael Gardiner and William Coyle.

Cork Long Service awards
Eamonn Duggan, High Voltage (ESBIe-fm), travelled to Cork to present the gifts to the staff who also received long service awards: Martina Kenny and Oisin Van Velthoven (five years); as well as Elaine Hannan and Natasha LaCumbre (10 years).
