		HRM for line managers Successful graduates of the fifth and sixth HRM for Line Managers Programme were presented with their certificates at a formal ceremony held in Head Office in September.Mike McDonnell, Director of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Ireland, presented the certificates. Mike complimented ESB on the development and continued support for this unique programme and said that the external examiners of the programme had reported that the quality and presentation of the assignments and project work were highly commendable. Luke Shinnors, Executive Director HR, in his address to the group, congratulated the participants for completing the programme which involves attending a number of off site workshops and submitting written assignments over a six month period. More than 70 line managers and HR specialists have now completed the programme and all graduates receive a 'Certificate in Personnel Practice' awarded by the CIPD". The next HRM for Line Managers programme has now commenced, with over 20 participants drawn from across the businesses, and will be completed in June 2009.
