ESB Staff Insurance Scheme launches RSA as new partner

The ESB staff Insurance Scheme, in conjunction with Jardine Lloyd, Thompson Insurance Brokers Ltd. are delighted to announce the launch of the new exclusive offering to ESB staff and retired members for their Home, Motor and Travel insurance.

RSA (formerly known as Royal & SunAlliance) have been chosen due to the quality of their commitment of service to ESB staff, knowledge and scope of the product offerings and competitive rates. This project has been led by Philip Smith, CEO, RSA and Andrea Bruen, Manager, ESB Staff Insurance Schemes. RSA is the largest home insurer in Ireland, insuring one in four homes, delivering superior quality insurance solutions to more than 400,000 Irish customers and 20 million worldwide.

The insurance products negotiated offer a number of exiting and innovative new benefits to staff and will be launched with effect from January 1st, 2009 for new business and rolled out at renewal to all existing customers.We are confident that the quality of these new products will ensure that ESB customers will be provided with the most comprehensive cover available on the market, at extremely competitive prices. Some of the additional covers include;

Motor Insurance

Our motor product makes cover simple and straightforward. We have now extended our age and experience criteria which will allow entry into the scheme at a earlier stage. ESB staff will now have the opportunity to opt for the ESB Max 4 Life Extension.

The good news is, all existing customers who currently hold a comprehensive policy will receive this new extension free of charge at renewal for the first year.
