Ciao Italia for ESB Cork retired staff association

September 2008 saw the ESB Cork Retired Staff take their first tentative steps at a trip abroad. MAP Travel was asked to put some proposals together and a conducted tour of Italy was agreed with the committee. On September 1st the group, led by tour manager Jim Keogh, set off from Cork Airport on what turned out to be a very successful tour.The trip, which was very comprehensive, covered Rome, Assisi, Monte Cassino, San Giovanni and the Amalfi Coast taking in Pompeii and Vesuvius.

The weather, the hotels, the attention to detail by the tour operator, the tour manager and the tour guide all conspired to make this a very memorable trip. Ciao Italia! And here's to next year.
