Customer Supply sponsors launch of the "Ballyfermot Residential Energy and Fuel Poverty Report" MABS and Energy Action together initiated an energy audit for the Ballyfermot area back in 2003. A Project Group was established with representatives from all the main agencies e.g., Energy Action, Dublin City Council, Ballyfermot Partnership, Ballyfermot Environmental Group, Sustainable Energy Ireland, St. Vincent de Paul Society, HSE South West Area, and the Dept of Social and Family Affairs. The purpose of the project was to assess the number of households in the local area affected by fuel poverty, to assess their energy performance and to assess the impact of energy saving measures on the housing stock. This involved doing detailed analysis on costs, CO2 emissions, Energy ratings and improved comfort levels for householders. ESB Customer got fully behind the initiative and offered their support through the various Agencies. Customer Supply also sponsored the launch of the Report which took place recently at the Ballyfermot Civic Centre. It was attended by Minister Noel Dempsey. Customer Supply |
