Sarah McGilligan follows father's footsteps to Ardnacrusha

Granddaughter of Patrick McGilligan, Sarah McGilligan visited Ardnacrusha Power Station on the 15th September with her fiance Patrick Duffy. Sarah was presented with a memento of the station (which she says will take pride of place in her new home) and signed the distinguished visitors' book, the same book her grandparents and relatives had signed back in 1931 and later again in 1948. Patrick McGilligan was one of the most prominent supporters and implementers of the Shannon Scheme during the project approval, planning and implementation stage.
