Easi-Travel Plan is a facility whereby an employer can purchase Annual Travel Tickets on behalf of employees - Tax Free. To avail of the tax benefit the employer must purchase the ticket, and the ticket is given as Easi-Travel Plan part of a remuneration package. It is not sufficient for an employer to purchase a travel ticket and recover the cost from the employee. The travel ticket is exempt from 'Benefit-in-Kind'.
