Hello and Welcome
to the November issue of EM.

How often have we dined out and experienced a particularly good meal or, on the other hand, a particularly bad one? The general consensus around is that Irish people don't like to make a fuss or complain when they receive bad service. However, with the cost of dining out now extremely expensive in this country, and the service not necessarily reflecting this rise in prices, then maybe a change in our response to bad service, of any kind, is required.

The same goes for holiday experiences. When you think about it, a lot of us do go on the recommendations of friends and colleagues who have already been to a particular holiday/short break destination or a particular restaurant.

In EM we are quite happy to feature favourite restaurant reviews or holiday/short break destinations that some of our readers may have been to. You are the best people to share your experiences with others and the 'on the ground' tips that we would all pass on to friends and work mates are probably better than those that appear in a lot of travel books.

Personally I have got great help from colleagues when going to various destinations, particularly for short breaks where you are trying to squeeze in as much sightseeing as possible. Also various little nuggets of information they may have come upon when they were there themselves prove to be hugely beneficial. And don't forget, there are some excellent websites out there to check out, but again we may not know exactly where to look or what to look out for.

So why not share some of your experiences and tips with the rest of our readers? If you would like to submit short articles or tips in relation to holiday/travel destinations or favourite specialist shops and restaurants, please send them in to us and we would be delighted to publish them.
