ESBI Soccer Tournament in Rousch, Pakistan

On friday 7th September, amid the workings of the
ESBI Rousch Power Station in Pakistan, a very important ancillary project was coming to a close – the annual football tournament!

Staff watched with anticipation by their colleagues
and families, gathered on the floodlit pitch to play the final leg of the four-day interdepartmental
soccer championship. A total of 30 staff had the chance to display their ESBI Soccer Tournament in Rousch, Pakistan football skills in their assigned
teams. There were three teams in total aptly named Green, White and Yellow.

Each team competed in two matches during the playoff and interestingly enough, every team won one match. Making it to the finals were the Yellow and Green teams and after a thrilling game the outcome was decided by just one goal.

Barry Lynch, Key Accounts Manager with the ESBI Facility Management business, who is based in Stephens Court was at the tournament to cheer the
players on. Impressed with the skills shown on the day Barry promised to return soon with his own soccer and cricket kits so that he could take part in the next Rousch competition.

Barry was honoured to be asked to award the trophy to the winning team. Ian Whitehead, Plant Manager at Rousch, was also standing by to award manof- the-tournament to young Abdul Rahman.
