John Campion invited into Fellowship of CIPD

In recognition of his contribution and achievements in Human Resource Management, John Campion has been invited into the Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD). John is only the third person in Ireland to receive this honour and he was presented with the award by Jackie Orme, the CIPD's Chief Executive, who travelled from the UK for the formal presentation held in the Board Room in ESB.

During his career in ESB John has played a pivotal role in advancing a traditional semi-state company into a dynamic company operating in a competitive open market. He has been involved in all the key change programmes over the last 15 years and has contributed in no small way to the conversion from an industrial relations based and adversarial relationship between management and employee unions to one based on partnership and on enshrining the most proactive human resource management thinking and practice.

CIPD is the professional body for those involved in the management and development of people and the institute has an individual membership of more than 130,000 HR professionals worldwide. John's current role in ESB is Executive Director, Sustainability.
