		Visit by TDs to Moneypoint Afine gael delegation of three TDs and a local county councillor visited Moneypoint Generating Station on Thursday July 23rd,2009. Simon Coveney, TD for Cork South-Central and Fine Gael’s spokesman on Communications, Energy and Natural Resources since 2007, Pat Breen and Joe Carey TDs for County Clare and Gabriel Keating, a Clare County Councillor, were given a tour of the plant. Power Generation Executive Director Pat O’Doherty met with the group and discussed issues relating to Moneypoint and the electricity sector in general. Bulk Materials Operations Manager John Casey and HR Manager Seamus Shannon joined the group for a presentation on Moneypoint. A presentation on the MERP Project was given by Station Manager, Bernardine Maloney, while the group were on site.
