Regina Finn Addresses ESBIE Strategy Day

The ESB Independent Energy (ESBIE) Strategy Day took place in the Hilton Hotel, Dublin Airport on the 2nd September this year. Themes for the day included consolidation of achievements to date, the importance of teamwork to the success of the business, the significant challenges ahead due to growth in the business and market opening in both NI and ROI. The day included presentations by ESBIE staff across all business areas commencing with an overview by new Managing Director Liam Molloy. Special guest speaker Regina Finn newly appointed Commissioner at CER spoke on the Regulator's challenges and opportunities in the future and she contributed to a lively and engaging Q&A session with staff.

The day enabled ESBIE staff to get an enhanced understanding and overview of the work of ESBIE and the issues facing ESBIE in both the RoI and NI markets. Executive Director of ESB International Michael McNicholas was in attendance for the day and provided a synopsis at the end of the day recognising the excellent work done to date and reiterating the challenges that lie ahead for ESBIE.
