Neighbourly Heritage As a preview to National Heritage Week, a day of special events celebrating the rich and diverse heritage of Merrion Square and its surroundings were explored and enjoyed. The townhouses, park, monuments, and streetscapes at the heart of the Georgian city were visited in a relaxed and informal programme.
No 29, the Georgian House Museum, presented by ESB and The National Museum of Ireland went into partnership with their neighbours The Irish Architectural Archive, The Irish Georgian Society and St. Stephen's (Pepper Canister) Church to celebrate Merrion Square Heritage Open Day, on Saturday 3rd September last.
With a backdrop of a cloudless blue sky to enhance the participants pleasure, all the events were extremely well attended and enjoyed as is evident in the photos. |
