Dave Cussen, Property and Facilities, retires after 39 years

Pictured above is Dave Cussen of Property and Facilities, at his retirement in Scruffy Murphy's along with his wife, Agnes, who is presented with Flowers by Anne Marie Mulcahy, Property and Facilities Management and Pat Boyle, Manager Property and Facilities Management (PFM).

Dave, Agnes and their daughters, Linda, Clare and Gillian had a great night and Dave was especially delighted at the number of retired former colleagues who managed to attend.

It was noted on the night that although Dave hailed from Clonmel in Tipperary, he spent his career as a Dubliner - joining ESB in 1967 in Dublin District number 2, with subsequent positions in Dublin North West and Ballyfermot before coming to the place that would be synonymous with his name - Property, Head Office. Dave's contribution in the delivering of major projects was second to none.

This was evidenced most recently in the part he played in disposing of all of the Retail properties to Bank of Scotland and other parties at an excellent value to ESB and in an incredibly short period of time.

Dave is known as a keen fisherman and the PFM team separately presented Dave with a picture of a fisherman on the River Suir near his home town, Clonmel. This is how all his friends will picture him in the future as he enjoys a long and happy retirement. We wish Dave and Agnes a long and happy retirement.
