Eileen Walsh Retires

Eileen walsh, ESB Industrial Council, is taking early retirement from ESB Eileen's ESB career has taken her from Ringsend Station, through Head Office Reception, to Consultancy, Employee Relations, and finally to 1 Fitzwilliam Place, where she found her niche as PA to the Industrial Council.

All who meet Eileen recognise her for her warm personality and infectious laugh. Those who know her also recognise her generosity of spirit and her sense of justice and fair play. Another attribute that has stood her in good stead in times of pressure is one noted by a prominent trade union official who once remarked that Eileen had that rare ability to let the 'transgressor' know he/she had overstepped the mark without causing offence (his words were more colourful but can't be repeated here!).

We wish Eileen continued health and happiness with her husband Jim and son John, long walks with Tiggy (her Jack Russell), and success with that book on childhood remembrances and stories of her much-loved merchant seaman dad - stories that her friends have heard and which they hope to see in print some day.
