Minister Roche launches ESB Customer Supply's Home Safety campaign The minister for the Environment Dick Roche TD, joined forces during the summer with ESB Customer Supply to promote their Home Safety Campaign. ESB Customer Supply's 'Home Safety' campaign was designed to heighten the public's awareness of the safe use of electricity in the home. The summer 'Energy at Home' leaflet and the TV advert were both dedicated to creating awareness around Safety in the Home. Another key feature of the campaign was the Safety Audit. This online self-assessment tool allows you to complete a questionnaire, and in turn a tailored safety report is generated. It can be accessed at www.esb.ie/safetycheck Speaking at the launch, Minister Roche said that he was delighted to be associated with the campaign on Home Safety and he praised ESB Customer Supply for increasing awareness of Home Safety. He was particularly pleased to see the emphasis on fire prevention in the home, adding that working smoke alarms really do save lives. Chief Executive Padraig McManus said public safety is the number one issue for ESB. "Electricity can sometimes be taken for granted, however, we should never underestimate the potential dangers of such a powerful force."
