Cork ESB Retired Staff Association 2008 outing to Sherkin Island
More than 100 members of the Cork ESB Retired Staff Association headed for the west of the county on Thursday, June 12th for a cruise down the River Ilen into Roaringwater Bay and on to Sherkin Island. As part of the outing, a unique event took place on the island. Retired Staff who had brought electricity to Sherkin more than 40 years before got together for a small reunion. A great day was had by all.
