ESB Corporate and Electricaid Christmas Card Competition

Images can speak a thousand words. As a result we take a lot of time in considering what cards we purchase for our loved ones. This Christmas why not try and have the perfect image on your Christmas cards?

Over the last few years EM has enabled adults and children to become thoroughly immersed in the ESB Christmas Cheer, by running a competition for the images that will adorn the ESB Corporate and ElectricAid Christmas Cards. Previously the photography and drawing competitions were organised separately, but we don't want to limit the talents that have been discovered over the years, so this year both competitions have been combined!

The competition is open to all ESB current and retired staff members and their children. You are asked to submit a drawing or photograph that captures one of the following themes:

1) What I am grateful for

2) Giving to others

3) Festive Cheer

4) Winter in Ireland

The closing date for entries is October 26th 2007. All winners will receive a cash voucher.

A selection of the images will be used for cards which will be available for sale to staff. Proceeds of which will go to ElectricAid, ESB staff 's social justice and developing world fund. The fund supports development projects in Ireland and all over the developing world.

What do to

This is your chance to show us just how artistic you can be. Remember the competition is open to photographs and drawings so get your thinking caps on. Due to the printing process, we cannot accept work with metallic ink, glitter or any form of collage. However, artwork incorporating the use of coloured pens, paints, pencils or charcoals are all accepted.

All photographs must have a resolution of 300dpi or higher.

Not only will you be entering our exciting competition but you will also be helping to raise money for causes in the Third World that are supported by the good work of ElectricAid.
