Chrissie Carroll

It was with great shock and deep sadness that staff in Head Office Restaurant learned of the death of our dear and cherished retired colleague Chrissie Carroll on 2nd July 2007.

Chrissie worked in Head Office Restaurant for many, many years. She was truly dedicated to her work and colleagues. She especially looked after, guided, nurtured and protected new comers - most of all the students, who were fortunate to encounter a woman like Chrissie so early in their careers.

Chrissie had the distinction of never having a sick certificate in all her years with ESB. She saw many changes in Head Office Restaurants from the opening of Natures Way and Mc Laughlin Restaurants. Change never daunted her, she was always calm in any emergency and loyal to her work.

Chrissie was a very special person, most kind, thoughtful, loving, compassionate, a wonderful listener and a mother to all. She was cheerful, full of fun and looked on the bright side of life. She was a corner stone, solid as a rock.

Chrissie bore her illness with great courage, strength, dignity and faith in God. She never once complained always hoping to be well again.

It was a real tribute to Chrissie to see so many young, past, present and retired ESB friends and colleagues congregate for her funeral celebrations to pay their respects.

To her sisters Alice and Teasy, her nieces, nephews and extended family we extend our deepest sympathy. Chrissie was a woman for all seasons and a true Christian. Many she rest in peace.
