Gerry Greene retires

Gerry Greene retired from ESB on 22nd June after almost 43 years service. A function to mark the occasion was held in the McLaughlin restaurant. It was attended by his wife Pat, his daughters Grainne, Karen, sons Keith and Graham and son-in-law Anthony. They were joined by many colleagues past and present from Dublin city - Fleet Street, Head Office and ELCOM where Gerry spent his latter years.

In paying tribute to Gerry, Deputy Chief Executive, Aidan O'Regan acknowledged the unique and detailed expertise Gerry had of customer billing, collection and accounting activity in ESB.

That expertise was recognised both internally within ESB and with International clients and finally led to Gerry being prised from Fleet Street to help in setting up ELCOM.

His is a very popular figure who made friends throughout the Company. Gerry will have plenty to occupy him in retirement – golf, community welfare and foreign travel are but some of the projects he intends to tackle.

We wish Gerry, his wife Pat and family many years of health and happiness for the future.
