Faulty Nokia Batteries

Nokia announced a potential fault with a battery used in the manufacture of certain models of phones.

Nokia Ireland have confirmed that of the 100 globally reported cases – none have occurred in Ireland and most were in Asia. Nokia have a process in place to allow customers to identify if the battery they have is from the affected batch and how to receive a replacement.

There are two options to check and arrange a replacement:

  1. Log on to www.nokia.com/battery replacement/en/ This link will allow you to identify if your battery is affected and if affected, log your contact details to allow Nokia send you a replacement battery directly.
  2. If users do not have web access they can contact the local Nokia Customer Service helpline – 1890 946 245 and Nokia will arrange for a replacement battery to be sent out directly.
