ESB Customer Supply updates Business Strategy

ESB CUSTOMER SUPPLY, like all businesses in competitive markets, must continually update and refine its Business Strategy. Accordingly, over the last few months, Customer Supply has engaged in a major review of its Business Strategy reflecting the conclusion of PR2 (Price Review 2), sale of shops, full market opening and other changes.

In addition, the environment we operate in will continue to evolve and the review takes into account future changes including the introduction of the Single Electricity Market (SEM), further competition, and changing customer expectations.

The review incorporates input from many areas and one of the key activities to date has been to consult with staff in Customer Supply. During May and June this year, over 300 staff participated in workshops in Dundalk, Cork, Limerick, Sligo and Dublin to discuss the revision of the strategy and to identify the challenges ahead.

The CS Senior Management Team attended all the workshops and will now ensure that the revised strategy incorporates measures to address these challenges. EM
