ESB Customer Supply Sponsors 'Know Your Neighbour Weekend'

'Know Your Neighbour Weekend' was a Macra Feirme initiative which took place for the first time this summer on the weekend of July 15th to 16th. ESB Customer Supply sponsored the initiative which was launched in the Mansion House by Lord Mayor, Cllr Vincent Fahy, and Padraig McManus, ESB Chief Executive. Also in attendance was Minister for Agriculture, Mary Coughlan TD and President of the IFA, Padraig Walsh. The photo also includes president of Macra na Feirme, Thomas Honner.

The initiative was aimed at encouraging all of us to participate and organise an activity on the weekend of the 15th and invite your neighbour. Resident associations, parishes, community groups and Macra Na Feirme societies all took part in a huge variety of initiatives throughout the country. All in all it was a huge success and one that was warmly embraced by all divides in society. No doubt we will be hearing much more about "Know your Neighbour weekend" in the years ahead.
