Ted Tierney / Noel McDonagh awards 2005

The presentation of the 2005 Ted Tierney/Noel McDonagh awards took place in the Ashdown Park Hotel recently. The recipient of the Ted Tierney award for customer service was Declan Maher, Networks (Area Services), Arklow and the recipient of the Noel McDonagh award was Liam Kavanagh, Networks Waterford.

The Awards were inaugurated in 1992 to commemorate Ted and Noel who died tragically in 1990 and 1991 respectively, whilst carrying out their daily work for ESB. The awards are an annual reminder of the dedication of Ted and Noel to the ESB, their families and their communities. The awards process selection and presentation has been supported by staff, management, unions and the participation council since it was launched in 1992.
