MPF New Health Insurance Cover for Children

Earlier this year, ESB Medical Provident Fund announced a new innovation in our health insurance cover for children. Currently MPF has two levels of cover - Ordinary and Extra Benefits. Prior to January '06, children under 18 were only eligible for our Ordinary Benefits scheme. From 1st January last, all children, regardless of their age, are eligible to apply for our Extra Benefits scheme.

If you are interested in upgrading your children's cover to the Extra Benefits scheme, a special waiting period of one year will apply during 2006 for those under 18's who upgrade in the 12-month period January '06 to December '06. Thereafter, the waiting period to upgrade will be 2 years.
