ESB Pension Scheme - New Trustees and Committee

As the terms of office for both the Superannuation Committee (three-year term) and the Trustees (four-year term) both ended on 30th June 2006, elections were held during May and June. These resulted in Joe LaCumbre securing a position as a member of the Superannuation Committee and being selected for appointment as a Trustee by contributing members and retired staff. Joe has confirmed that he wishes to serve as a Trustee, so the members of the Committee are: Elected members Michael Brauders, Adrian Fox, Joe Kealy, Jeremiah Murphy and Bobby Yeates.

Jim Flood, Audrey Hamilton, Geraldine Heavey, Gerry McAleavey and John Whelan. The Committee have selected Audrey Hamilton as their Chairperson.

The Trustee election resulted in the selection of Sean Brophy and Joe LaCumbre and the Board has nominated Bernard Byrne and Tony Donnelly. These four Trustees have selected Joe Maher as their Chairperson and Joe will also be a Trustee. As Tony Donnelly is retiring from ESB at the end of September, the Board has decided that Valerie Little will be appointed to replace Tony as a Trustee with effect from 1st October.

Bríd Horan, Returning Officer, expressed her appreciation to all the candidates in the elections for their participation and for their cooperation throughout the process and also thanked those who helped in organising the elections and in the counting of votes.
